This is my 4th post listing a friend in my life that I am grateful for. I will continue to do posts periodically thanking the many special friends that God has blessed me with. As I said before, this is in no particular order at all... I love all of my friends and family SO much and I don't want anyone to think that you are not special to me! 🙏
Today I am thankful for... Ken!

Ken is the golf pro at Overlook Golf Course and the head coach for the Franklin & Marshall ladies' golf team. I started taking golf lessons from him in the spring of 2015 and he hasn't been able to get rid of me since. All joking aside, Ken and his wife, Candace, have been very kind to me. He knows me well and has had to put up with a few golf lessons where I have been crying. He will sass me, but he usually knows when to stop... and if he doesn't I'm comfortable enough with him to tell him to knock it off (or I just sass him back). Since he insists that he is not old enough to be a father figure to me, we have told people that we are cousins or siblings (and some have believed us).
Ken gets 100% credit for getting me into coaching. He brought it up to me shortly after my dad passed and he said he thought it would be something that would be beneficial for me and for the girls who I coach, and he was right. Did you see that Ken? I gave you credit for something! I have really enjoyed getting to know each of the girls on the team, going to matches (even when I am freezing my butt off) and going on spring break. I also do my best to be a positive influence on the girls and be there for them if they need me.
Ken and Candace have taken me to their church a few times, and they also had me over on Christmas last year to spend the holiday with their family since my family had already gotten together. Finally, I wouldn't be able to do the golf tournament without his help. Thank you, Ken, for all of your help and generosity over the years. I will, however, continue to blame any of my bad golf shots on you because if I mess up, it's not my fault... it's Ken's fault.
